In addition to Dr. Grant, we have an Orthopaedic Surgeon that treats patients at our office.
Dr. Doug Freels is from Rutherford Orthopaedic Associates and is affiliated with Rutherford Hospital. He trained at Bowman Gray / Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, and completed his advanced Fellowship Training at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa, FL. and is Board Certified. Dr. Freels is highly experienced in joint replacement surgery of the hip, knee, and shoulder. He also performs minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, rotator cuff, and knee, as well as carpal tunnel wrist surgery.
He also treats general orthopaedic problems including fractures. He has a special interest in Sports Medicine and enjoys treating athletes of all ages! Most importantly, Dr. Freels is a firm believer of doing surgery "only as a last resort".
Dr. Freels has a good understanding of Chiropractic care, and works well with Dr. Grant when his patients need additional consultation or treatment.
